The B-10 recoilless rifle is a 82mm lightweight anti-tank weapon developed by the Soviet Union in the early 1950s. Designed to provide infantry units with a portable and powerful means of combating armored vehicles, the B-10 utilized a smoothbore barrel and recoilless firing mechanism to minimize recoil. The weapon could fire a variety of ammunition types, including high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) rounds capable of penetrating substantial armor.

The B-10 entered service in 1954 and was widely produced by the Soviet Union, with many units exported to allied nations during the Cold War. It was typically deployed with a two-person crew and mounted on a lightweight tripod for stability, or towed by light vehicles for enhanced mobility. Despite its relatively modest range and accuracy compared to modern systems, the B-10 was prized for its simplicity, reliability, and low cost, making it a staple of Soviet-aligned armed forces.

The B-10 saw extensive use in numerous conflicts, including the Vietnam War, Middle Eastern wars, and various regional skirmishes throughout Africa and Asia. Its effectiveness in ambush scenarios and against lightly armored targets earned it a reputation as a versatile battlefield tool. Though largely retired by modern militaries, the B-10 remains in use by irregular forces and militias, a testament to its durability and enduring utility.
