The Micro Uzi is a compact version of the iconic Uzi family of submachine guns, designed by Israeli Military Industries (IMI) in the 1980s. This version was engineered for maximum portability and concealed carry, featuring a shorter barrel, reduced overall dimensions, and a lightweight design. Like its larger counterparts, the Micro Uzi uses a blowback-operated system and fires 9x19mm Parabellum rounds from a detachable magazine, with a blistering cyclic rate of approximately 1,200 rounds per minute.

Production of the Micro Uzi began in the mid-1980s, and it quickly gained attention from military, law enforcement, and security forces worldwide. While exact production figures are not publicly disclosed, the weapon's compactness and firepower ensured it found niche applications in close-quarters combat and VIP protection. It also saw use in undercover operations due to its ease of concealment and high rate of fire, providing a powerful yet discreet tool for operatives.

The Micro Uzi achieved notoriety for its appearances in action movies and its association with security forces and specialized military units. While its small size made it suitable for certain roles, the high rate of fire proved challenging to control, limiting its general appeal. Despite these limitations, the Micro Uzi remains a respected part of the Uzi family and a testament to IMI's innovative approach to firearm design, cementing its legacy in both tactical and cultural contexts.
