The Ruger MP9 is a compact and lightweight submachine gun developed in the 1990s by the American firearms manufacturer Sturm, Ruger & Co. Designed by Uziel Gal, the creator of the Uzi, the MP9 builds upon the successful design principles of its predecessor while incorporating modern features. Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, the MP9 utilizes a blowback-operated system and features a polymer frame to reduce weight. It is equipped with a folding stock for versatility and compact storage, as well as an integrated Picatinny rail for mounting optics and other accessories.

Production of the Ruger MP9 was limited, as it was primarily marketed to law enforcement and military users.
