The FEG 35M was a bolt-action rifle designed and manufactured by Femaru Fegyver es Gepgyar (FEG) in Hungary during the 1930s. Chambered for the 8x56mmR cartridge, the rifle was based on the Mannlicher system, which featured an internal magazine loaded via en-bloc clips, but used a rotating bolt like the Dutch and Romanian Mannlicher rifles. The 35M was characterized by its robust construction, ergonomic wooden stock, and reliability in harsh conditions, making it well-suited for military use. It replaced the older Mannlicher M1895 in Hungarian service as the standard-issue infantry rifle.

Production of the FEG 35M began in 1935 and continued into the early years of World War II, with tens of thousands of rifles produced to equip the Hungarian Army. The weapon served as the primary infantry arm of Hungary during its alliance with the Axis powers, seeing widespread use on the Eastern Front. Variants of the rifle were also adapted for sniper roles by mounting optical sights, though these were produced in smaller numbers. Despite its relatively limited production compared to rifles from larger nations, the 35M was a crucial part of Hungary's military efforts during the war.

The FEG 35M is remembered for its reliability and durability, traits that allowed it to serve effectively in the harsh conditions of the Eastern Front.
