The Haubits m/40 was a Swedish-designed 105 mm howitzer developed in the late 1930s and officially adopted in 1940. Manufactured by Bofors, the Haubits m/40 was a modern artillery piece for its time, featuring a split trail carriage for improved stability, hydro-pneumatic recoil mechanisms, and a relatively high rate of fire. Its design focused on balancing mobility and firepower, making it well-suited for deployment in the varied terrain of Scandinavia.
