The Steyr-Hahn M1912 was an Austrian semi-automatic pistol developed in the early 20th century. Chambered in 9mm Steyr, it was designed for the Austro-Hungarian military and became the standard sidearm of its forces during World War I. The pistol featured a unique rotating-barrel locking mechanism and was fed by stripper clips rather than a detachable magazine.

The Steyr-Hahn saw extensive use during World War I, particularly on the Eastern Front and in the Italian Alps. Its robust design made it suitable for the harsh conditions of mountain warfare. After the war, it remained in service with various European militaries and police forces.

Though eventually replaced by more modern designs, the Steyr-Hahn M1912 is remembered for its unique mechanical design and its role in the Austro-Hungarian military. It remains a collectible firearm for enthusiasts due to its historical significance.
