Knife Bayonet

Knife bayonets are a compact, versatile form of bayonet with a blade shaped like a combat or utility knife.

Sword Bayonet

Sword bayonets are a type of bayonet featuring a long blade, often resembling a short sword. They emerged in the early 19th century as militaries sought to extend the reach and versatility of infantry weapons.

Socket Bayonet

Socket bayonets first appeared in the late 17th century as an evolution of the earlier plug bayonet, which fit directly into the muzzle of a musket but prevented the weapon from being fired. The socket design solved this problem by attaching the bayonet alongside the barrel, allowing soldiers to both shoot and fight in close quarters without removing the blade. Widely adopted by European armies in the 18th century, socket bayonets became standard issue for infantry and played a central role in linear warfare tactics, effectively turning muskets into spears for defense against cavalry charges and melee combat.
